Hand on heart. Who of us would refuse recreation, travel, fun or even sea fishing? All these tempting possibilities are provided by the slovak sports water glider from GDA-GROUP, also called Ekranoplan, in a slightly unconventional form.
WHAT IT ACTUALLY IS?
This invention is of Russian origin and is somewhat of a ship, an airplane, a speed boat, but also a hovercraft. This is because it conceals a combination of the characteristics of all the aforementioned means of transport. It has spread all over the world from two-seat recreational vehicles to huge 500-ton military machines. Nevertheless, the vehicles have not yet experienced a more global application in the society. With its innovations and research dealt in the past not only the Russians, but also the Finns, Germans, Americans, Australians, Japanese or Chinese. On the Slovak market, it is us who own it.
And what is typical for this device? Its wings are in close proximity to earth, ice, or water. In addition, it benefits from the advantages of an air cushion on that it can slide by a low flight. However, we must not forget the specially engineered engine for low flight, fuselage reinforcement for greater safety or TIG effect in wing design.
AMBIENT, FUN PLAYER, SAVIOR
Our task was to create a sporty type of vessel with high maneuverability for two. We wanted to show the possibilities of improving the quality of people’s lives, and under our hands a kind of amphibian that will land not only on land but also on water was created. At the same time, a fun player who offers recreation, a sea trip, recreational fishing, sports, but also some other kind of entertainment. He could play the role of savior in the role of coastguard, controller of illegal migrants, rescuer, or paramedic. We focused the project on a conceptual solution in which it was primarily an attractive visual expression suitable for presenting and presenting the idea. We practiced conceptual drawing and gained experience in presenting to a larger audience.
Information such as 200 km/h, range 600 km, autopilot, GPS system, radar or gentle performance certainly do not need any further comment. And we did not mention that you do not need flight courses or permits for this miracle! You just need to put your driving license into your pocket.
